When making a decision to
continue your education, choosing
the right college can be a
difficult and complex decision.
You wouldn’t buy a house
before completing a walk through
or a vehicle without a test
drive. You shouldn’t
attend a college before seeing
what it has to offer in the
form of classes, instructors
and learning resources either.
At Southwestern Community College,
we want you to Try Before
You Buy. You will have an
opportunity to “test drive”
our college faculty, classrooms
and learning resources before
you make the commitment to enroll.
You will be able to see first
hand how SCC will help you attain
your educational and career goals!

dial ext. 4217 to arrange a class
visit, meet your future instructors
and take a guided tour of SCC’s
Sylva campus.

Campus Tours
Tours of Southwestern's Sylva
campus are available throughout
the academic year by request.
It is preferred that you register
for a tour by completing the form
below or by calling Dominique
Benson within the Office of Admissions
at least one day prior to your
visit. Campus tours will not be
held when the college is closed;
please call 828.586.4091 or 800.447.4091,
ext. 4217 if you have questions.
A student ambassador or admissions
counselor will be your guide for
a walking tour of campus. Please
wear comfortable shoes. We recommend
a bottle of water for warm days.
Please try to arrive 10 minutes
before your tour to complete a
visitor's card. If you would like
to talk with someone in your academic
interest area, visit a class,
or talk more with an admissions
counselor, please feel free to
contact the admissions office
at 828.586.4091, or toll free
at 800.447.4091, ext. 4352 before
your campus visit. Tours begin
in the Student Services Office,
located on the first floor of
the Balsam Center.
