Career seminars are offered in the Spring and Fall semesters – the topics include resume preparation, interviewing skills, etiquette (business and dining), job search tools and techniques. The seminars are designed to build your skills for a successful job search when your program of study is completed. Students are encouraged to participate in these seminars throughout their tenure at Southwestern Community College.

James Wallace & Patty KirkleyJames Wallace, a student in SCCs Culinary Technology program, won this IPod last week when he attended the Office Politics career seminar. James told Patty Kirkley, SCC's career counselor that he had never won anything. He had already had two people asked to buy his IPod, but he isn't ready to sell! Great prizes at every seminar.
