Concurrent Enrollment


SCC Concurrent Enrollment offers qualified high school students the opportunity to take college-level classes TUITION-FREE while still in high school. You can ‘start college early’ in these ways:
Tech Prep
  Linda Dyke and AnnieYou can receive college credit for selected high school courses. To earn Tech Prep credit, minimum VoCATS scores and course grades are required. Credit is earned at SCC and helps you meet requirements for specific AAS degree programs. For complete details and a list of qualified courses, visit our website or your high school guidance office.
Dual Enrollment
  If you are 16 or older, you can enroll in most regularly scheduled SCC courses. Credit is earned at SCC and is often transferable to other colleges and universities. Students can attend during fall, spring, or summer semesters. Courses are offered at SCC campuses & centers, over ITV, or online.
ACE-Huskins
  If you are enrolled in grades 9 through 12, you can take college-level classes through ACE-Huskins. These courses most often taught by SCC Instructors through ITV or at your high school location earn college credit and may be used to satisfy requirements for high school graduation. Programs include:
Automotive Systems Technology
Carpentry
Cosmetology
Criminal Justice
College/University Transfer (also online!)
Early Childhood Education
Emergency Medical Care (EMT-Basic)
Computer Information Technology
Outdoor Leadership
Web Design (also online!)
Learn & Earn ONLINE
  While enrolled in grades 9 through 12, you can take college-level classes online during the high school day. These courses earn college credit and may be used to satisfy requirements for high school graduation. Credit is earned at SCC and is often transferable to other colleges and universities. Learn & Earn ONLINE courses are offered to public school students during fall, spring, and summer semesters.
