Dear SCC Staff and Faculty,

It has certainly been a wild roller coaster ride the last few weeks . . . illness, two hospital admissions, as well as surgery last week, which I certainly was not expecting! However, it looks like I'm now "on the mend" and will be back on campus before long.

"Thank you" is one of those wonderful phrases that a person uses to express special gratitude. But there's so much more to it than those two words, by themselves, can say. Actually, for me, the phrase means, "you really made my day" when I received the beautiful flower arrangement from all of you at SCC. It means that "you made all the days since this so much better" with all of the cards, phone calls and visits while I've been recovering (it's amazing, but the flowers are still beautiful!) But for me, the phrase "thank you" most importantly means "you didn't have to . . . but I'm so grateful that you did . . ."

Thanks for caring and your concern. See you soon.

Deb Ginn
