ABC’s of the Computer: 36 hrs, 3.6 CEUs
Designed and recommended for the new computer user. Learn the computer basics including: proper shut down of the computer, mouse use and maintenance, use of the keyboard, identification and use of icons, windows, menus, how to name, save, retrieve and revise a document; control panel tools; hardware and software vocabulary, basics of file management, how to use some of the system tools, how to install and remove hardware and software. There’s no need to feel threatened or left behind when it comes to computer skills. This interactive course will provide you with the foundation skills that will allow you to learn and grow.

ABC’s of Computer: 24 hrs., 2.4 CEUs
This is the mini class for new users and beginners of computers. The class will cover basics of the hardware and uses, keyboard, moving around in the software, internet searching, e-mail, downloading photos and text from e-mail, and general trouble shooting. The class is meant for the beginner and is designed to get them started and make them feel comfortable with computers

Beyond the ABCs: If you have had a basic course but still don’t feel very confident on the computer, this is a course for you. Learn to safely explore the Internet and put some of its power to use. Create a slide show using images from your digital camera. Learn to manage your electronic files so that you can retrieve them with ease. Create posters, calendars, thank you cards and more using your own images or those that you import. Earn 2.4 CEUs in this 4-week course.

3D Computer Modeling
This class introduces Google SketchUp, a 3D modeling program. SketchUp is a simple yet powerful tool for creating, viewing, and modifying three dimensional designs. It is fast, easy and fun to use and produces professional results. Product Designers, Landscape Designers, Architects, Woodworkers, Game Developers and anyone wishing to create 3D designs will find SketchUp invaluable. Upon completion of the course students will be able to create a 3D model and prepare it for presentation.

Computer Applications

MS Excel: 36 hrs, 3.6 CEUs: This course is designed for the computer literate to intermediate level user. As a result of taking this course participants will be able to create, sort filter, edit and print spreadsheet files using Excel. Writing formulas, formatting cells, cutting, copying and pasting cells and ranges of cells will also be covered.

MS Word/Excel: 24 hrs.: 2.4 CEUs
This is a mini class for those who want to learn these major pieces of software to get more comfortable in them. We will go over the basics of both types of software with an emphasis on what is in the software. It is designed to get the student familiar with where things are and what they do. Word will include the basics, mail merge, labels, and setup. Excel will include formulas, multiple worksheets, and worksheet design.

Learn how QuickBooks makes it easy to set up a chart of accounts, reconcile your checking account, create and print invoices, receipts and statements; track your payables, inventory and receivables; create estimates and generate reports.

This class is designed to give the student an understanding of the history and future of the Internet, common terms related to the Internet, browser functions, search engines, e-mail, security and downloads.

On-line auctions match buyers with sellers in a global marketplace for almost any item. If you’ve ever dreamed of working from home or just earning extra income by buying and selling goods online, our instructor will guide you every step of the way. You’ll learn how to create titles that get noticed and how to create and upload photos of the items you are selling. You’ll also learn how to safely conduct financial transactions, how to accept credit card payments and how to pack and ship any item hassle-free. If you’re a buyer, you’ll learn how to value almost any item up for auction, how to get the best possible price, how to protect yourself against fraud and how to compete effectively against other bidders.
