| What is the difference
between a drop and a withdrawal? |
| |
A "drop" may only be initiated
within the official drop/add period,
usually the first week of class. An
official "withdrawal" may
be initiated by the student only, and
must be done before the last day of
official withdrawal period. |
Who may use this online withdrawal form? |
| |
Only students enrolled
in a Hybrid,
Web-Centered course, or a TeleWeb course
may use this online form to withdraw
from a class. These courses have a (HY),
(WC), and (TW) section designation.
This form may only be used during the
colleges' official withdrawal dates. |
Are you sure you want to withdraw from
your class? |
| |
Some of SCC's classes
are not offered each semester,
therefore,
withdrawal from your course may delay
your graduation.
Contact
your advisor to determine if withdrawal
from this course will delay your graduation.
Moreover, SCC has academic options,
such as tutoring and learning lab
staffing, that may make your withdrawal
unnecessary. Please
contact your instructor and your advisor
before you make a decision to withdraw
from your class.

What happens when I submit this online
withdrawal request? |
| |
Your submission of
an online request to "withdraw"
from a class does
not mean that the "withdrawal"
is completed. It simply
means that you have requested
a "withdrawal" from your
class. |
How do I know if the withdrawal request
has been processed? |
| |
Within two weeks of
your request to withdraw you should
see your withdraw processed when you
login to your online transcripts.
If, after two weeks you see that your
withdrawal request has not been completed,
contact your advisor or the registrar
for details.
