I.

The
meeting was called to order by President Doug Ward at 3:00
p.m.
|
| II. |
Senators
attending were Eric Hester, Gene Norton, Ron Poor, Joe Roman,
Lisa Shearer, Kirk Stephens, Doug Ward, and Paul Wolf.
Other faculty members attending were Ceretta Davis, Mike Deaver,
Wanda Morris, Linda Talbott, Sherry Turk, and Pete Wolosin.

Dr.
Gene Couch attended and provided background and a framework
for discussing the College Calendar including three proposed
options (referred to as A, B, and C).

IV.
|
Joe
Roman made a motion that the Senate endorse Plan B (includes
a three-day fall break (13-15 Oct) following the NCCCS Instructors’
Conference; classes ending on 14 Dec, grades due on 15 Dec,
and college closing on 18 Dec). The motion was seconded by
Paul Wolf. The motion failed to carry with 3 Yea, 4 Nay, and
1 Abstention.

Gene Norton made a motion that the Senate endorse Plan A (includes
a five-day fall break (11-15 Oct); classes ending on 16 Dec,
grades due on 17 Dec, and college closing on 18 Dec). The
motion was seconded by Eric Hester. The motion carried with
4 Yea, 3 Nay, and 1 Abstention.

Paul Wolf, carried 100%)
