1.
Diversion of Funds
A list of proposed questions concerning diversion
of funds to be presented to Instructional Administration
was distributed to all in attendance. After a brief
discussion, it was agreed that the questions would
be sent to all senators and a vote as to whether
the questions move forward would be taken. The motion
was made by Allan Grant, seconded by Kurt Berger,
and carried by a unanimous vote.

2. Excellence in Teaching
The subcommittee on Excellence in Teaching has developed
a procedure for selecting nominees from SCC. Chris
thanked Sarah Altman, Kurt Berger, Dale Hall, and
Meg Rollins for their work. It was agreed that the
proposal be published to all faculty and that discussion
be encouraged prior to taking a vote. Chris reminded
faculty that Faculty Senate has an on-line discussion
board which would be an ideal medium for this discussion.

3. Spyware on College Computers
At
the end of summer, software was installed on most
college computers that allows personnel in Computer
Operations to take control of our computers from
their offices. This software has the capability
of creating an image of everything stored on local
hard drives and to monitor every keystroke. Faculty
in attendance felt that we should have been informed
of this decision, and we would like to know more
about the purpose of the software. Chris will ask
Instructional Administrators to schedule a TLC on
this topic to be presented by Computer Operations

4.
Amendment to the Constitution
It
was decided to table the suggestion that a vote
be taken on the issue of Faculty Senate returning
to the one person-one vote format. Mr. Poor advised
that he will continue the battle. |
The
meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
Respectfully
submitted,
Linda
Talbott
Secretary
