Foundation
welcomes new members
The SCC Foundation is fortunate to have Board members
who are eager to share their time, expertise, energy
and resources to help make SCC what it is today and
dreams of being tomorrow. This fall we welcome two new
members to this stellar group. They are F. P.
Bodenheimer of Franklin and Jim VanderWoude
of Franklin.
F.P.
Bodenheimer, III |
F.P.
Bodenheimer III graduated from The Patterson School
and attended Appalachian State University before entering
the business world. His first step in that direction
was as owner of Klondike Café in Boone. After
six years there he became a manager trainee at Zickgraf
Enterprises before taking on the post of Lumber Purchaser.
In 1998 he was named Vice President of Prefinished Operations.
Since 2003 he has served as Vice President of Operations
for Zickgraf Hardwoods.
Strongly interested in education, F.P. says, “Through
our family business, I have seen what an incredible
difference education can make on an individual’s
life. Many of our employees have taken advantage of
educational opportunities presented to them and it has
completely changed their lives. I am excited about the
new Macon Campus and the tremendous opportunities it
will bring to the people of our community. It is an
honor to serve our community through SCC Foundation.”
F.P. is also a member of Junaluska Masonic Lodge, likes
late model car racing, and enjoys attending his kids’
activities and sports events. He and Allison Bodenheimer
have three children, Lexi, 6, Macie, 4, and Ellie, six
months.
