Step 1Submit Online Application
Before you Apply have the following information available:

Step 2 - Request official transcripts from high schools and all other institutions attended or GED scores to be sent to the following:
SCC Registrar's Office
447 College Drive
Sylva, NC 28779
Step 3 - Placement Testing - Placement testing is designed to assist the student and the college in placing the student in the proper courses.  To prepare for the Placement Test, it is recommended to complete a free Accuplacer Prep Session provided by Educational Opportunities. For more information or to register, please contact Crystal Snover at 339.4272. Schedule an appointment to take the SCC College Placement Test by contacting the Testing Center or submit official SAT or ACT scores.  Have college credit from another institution  - please follow Step 2. 

Step 4 - Apply for Financial Aid

Step 5 - Signup for the Required New Student Orientation - Before attending orientation or registering for classes, you will need to complete SmarterMeasure. SmarterMeasure is an assessment that ensures your readiness to complete online and seat-based coursework. You can access SmarterMeasure by logging into your MySCC account and find it located within the Quick Launch Pad. Please bring your results to orientation or when registering with your advisor.

Step 6 - Registration Information for Summer and Fall 2015 - Students attending New Student Orientation will be advised and registered during orientation - your advisor's name will be on your acceptance letter. Academic Advising: Academic advice is available to students by emailing or calling their assigned program advisor at the College.
