Coordinate
the College's Writing Across
the Curriculum (WAC) program;
facilitate WAC workshops
for students and faculty;
maintain and expand program
Web site; work collaboratively
with Learning Assistance
Center Coordinator and Peer
Tutoring Coordinator to
provide writing-related
academic support for faculty
and students; work closely
with the WAC advisory committee
to track and analyze student
learning outcomes and program
success data; attend WAC
conferences and maintain
affiliations with national
networks in the WAC field. |

and Salary |
Part-time
position, 20 hours per week,
40 weeks per year; $26 per
hour. |
| Qualifications |
Required:
Masters Degree in English
or related field; three
or more years of teaching
experience.
Preferred: Teaching experience
with an emphasis on teaching
rhetoric and composition;
community college teaching
experience. |

of Community Colleges.
The campus is located near
Sylva, North Carolina, the
commercial center of Jackson
County. The college
serves a three county service
area with a total population
of 76,000.
The area's economy is based
on small industry, recreation,
and tourism. The geographic
location is in rural southwestern
North Carolina near the eastern
entrance to the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park.

Asheville, and Knoxville are
