Southwestern to offer OSHA seminar |

SYLVA Southwestern
Community College will hold a Residential Construction OSHA (Occupational
Safety and Health Administration) seminar from 4 - 9 p.m., Dec. 11 -
12 at SCC's Macon Center. The course will also be offered from 8 a.m.-1
p.m. on the same dates at SCC's Cashiers Center. This two-day
seminar is designed to offer interpretation of OSHA's rules and regulations
on residential construction projects. Specifically, the seminar will
cover fall protection, scaffolding, personal protective equipment, fire
protection and prevention, stairways and ladders, excavations and electrical
safety. Randy Mercer,
owner and safety director of Mercer and Son, will instruct the class.
Mercer has more than thirty years of safety training experience. Upon successful
completion of the course, students will receive OSHA's 10-hour OSHA
card. |
