Sylva Rotary Club donates $1,000 to SCC Foundation

SYLVA - During its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 7, the Sylva Rotary Club donated $1,000 to the Southwestern Community College Foundation. Pictured above are Sylva Rotary Club president Jay Coward, left, and Becky Medford, who recently became the SCC Foundation's Executive Director. Established in 1973, the SCC Foundation, Inc., provides additional financial support for the College through private donations. This funding is used to support scholarships and to improve educational programs using money that would be otherwise unavailable.
