Emergency Medical Service Pinning Ceremony
Eight
students in the Southwestern Community College
Emergency Medical Services program recently took
part in a pinning ceremony and celebration in
Bryson City with their instructors and family
members present. All eight successfully passed
state and national certification exams to qualify
as emergency medical technicians. The students
so honored included, left to right: Jeremiah Vanrensselaer
of Sylva, Thomas Hooks of Sylva, Steven Rice of
Cullowhee, Philip Baker of Sylva, Katelyn Speed
of Otto, Kim Anthony of Sylva, Trevor Gibson of
Highlands, and Paul Rondel of Franklin.
