National Technical Honor Society Inducts New Members

The following Southwestern Community College students
were inducted into the National Technical Honor
Society April 20 during Spring Induction ceremonies
on campus. From left are (front) Gena Wykle, Cloedith
Walsh, Gretchen Cyr, Crystal Blankenship; (second
row) Michele Flowers, Jenny Shaffer, Jessica Stanley,
Carolyn Timmons, Judith Pearson; (third row) Pamela
Cope, Linda Gillman, Lynda Bacon, Darlene Martin,
Kim Clark, Heather Sears; (back) Michael Gunter,
Ernest Hall, Becky Parker, Steve Schardien, Lynda
Elliott, Dale Curtis, Melissa Fisher, Justin McKinney
and Jennifer Standridge. Over 1500 schools and
colleges throughout the United States and foreign
countries are affiliated with NTHS. SCC’s
chapter was chartered to recognize the achievement
of full- and part-time students. Members are nominated
by program faculty from the student population
with a 3.5 or greater grade point average and
who have completed 12 hours of academic course
work above the 100 level. To be eligible for membership,
a nominee must be enrolled as an active student
in a degree, diploma, or certificate program.
