SCC Hosts FAFSA Day

SCC will host Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Day here for students and their families. Ours will be the only site in the region other than Asheville where students and their families will be able to take advantage of this service. Please help us reach them with this information. Thank you very much.

Prospective college students have the opportunity this Saturday to receive free help completing and submitting federal financial aid forms for college.

Southwestern Community College will host FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Day on February 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Computer Lab on the third floor of Balsam, the first building on campus. Signs will lead to the room. College financial aid professionals will be available to help families complete and electronically submit their free application for FAFSA.

This annual event is sponsored by the College Foundation of North Carolina and the NC Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

"We are very pleased to be able to host FAFSA Day here at SCC," Financial Aid Officer Suzanne Gregory said. "We welcome the students and their families to come out and take advantage of this service at no cost to them."
