Events Workshop Scheduled
Learn the skills needed to plan and run special events
successfully during a
workshop on Friday, March 4.
“Special Events That Count” will be offered
through Southwestern Community College and Mountain
Stewardship Alliance on March 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. at the Macon Bank Corporate Center in Franklin.
Traveling south on Highway 441from Dillsboro, the Center
is located on One Center Court off Honeycutt Lane opposite
the first exit into Franklin.

Gregg Duff, co-author of “The Event Pyramid: An
Effective Management Strategy,” will be the presenter.
Duff served as an intern at the U.S. Olympic Training
Center in Colorado Springs, CO, where he coordinated
housing, meals and facilities for visiting athletes
and teams. Manager of Cherokee Bottled Water, Duff’s
credentials also include: three-time volunteer director
of Greening Up of the Mountains in Sylva; responsibility
for business affairs, ticketing, marketing, concessions,
and game management at Western Carolina University;
and Director of Information for the Alabama Sports Festival.
