SCC Sponsors Stress Workshop on April 27

Southwestern Community College's Business Assistance Center, Holiday Inn Express, and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor "Stressed? Just a Moment, Please," on Wednesday, April 27, in conjunction with Administrative Professionals' Day and National Small Business Week.

The workshop will focus on the causes of stress, relaxation and stress relief, and ways to keep from becoming overwhelmed by stress. "We know so much about health and yet, we still struggle with the stress of work, home, and us," said presenter and counselor, Susan Hickerson of Weaverville. "This seminar deals with what you know and how to make it work for you. We will discuss balance in work, home, and you and ways for you to make balance happen. Specifically, participants will learn ways to find their own balance point in the moment, any time, any where."

The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Dillsboro from 1-4 p.m. and will include food. Admission is free to all Chamber of Commerce members. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. To reserve seating, please call the Chamber of Commerce at 586-2155 by 5 p.m., Monday April 25.
