Students
can register Aug. 11 for Macon classes
Students in Macon County can now begin their community
college degree this fall in Macon County when registration
is held Thursday, Aug. 11, at Southwestern Community
College’s Macon Center.
Advising, registration and tuition payment will be from
noon until 7:30 p.m. at the Macon Center located at
the Courthouse Annex. Those who need to take the college
placement test may do so from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

will also be accepted.
High school students interested in free college classes
through the dual enrollment program can meet with an
advisor and register for classes from noon until 7:30
p.m.
Classes offered include study skills, PC literacy, communication,
writing, reading, precalculus, medical terminology,
philosophy, psychology, real estate and Spanish. A wide
range of online classes will also be offered.
