NTHS Induction held Dec 1

The Southwestern Community College chapter of the National Technical Honor Society held the Fall induction of initiates on Dec. 1 in the Jackson Campus auditorium.

Inducted were John Tyndall, Ross Bonnewell, Elana Woodard and Daphne Triplett of Swain County; Theresa Welch and Virginia Hylton of Macon County; Juanita Beasley and Wren Haney of Graham County; Sheila Huisman and Joanna Tahquette of Haywood County; and Bentley Robinson, Lynda Messier, Kathy Masson, Cynthia Ensley and Patricia Brooks of Jackson County.

To qualify for membership initiates are selected from the top 20 percent of
their major program. Selected students with a grade point average of 3.5 or
higher who are carrying at least 12 hours of college level courses during
the past three consecutive semesters are then nominated by the faculty for
membership.
