Open House - November 3
An

majors and financial aid possibilities at Southwestern

the Balsam Center lobby from 5 to 7 p.m.
“We’re
inviting people in Jackson, Macon and Swain counties
and the Cherokee Boundary to come talk to our faculty
about the programs we have to offer,” Phil Weast,
Dean of Student Services, said. “They’ll
be on hand to discuss some of the hottest majors available,
provide information on degree and certification requirements
and answer questions about career opportunities.”
According to Weast, some of the top programs at SCC
include: Information Systems, Internet Technology, Outdoor
Leadership, Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics
Engineering Technology, Health Information Technology,
Medical Laboratory Technology, Office Systems Technology,
Human Services/Substance Abuse, Sonography, Surveying,
E-Commerce and Criminal Justice Latent Evidence (Forensics).
And there are many other programs among the 55 the college
offers from which to choose. (See
