Stress Relief Seminar - Beat Holiday Season Stress

The Business Assistance Center at Southwestern Community College has a three hour seminar planned just in time to snatch you from the jaws of holiday stress.

"Beat Holiday Season Stress", scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., will provide participants with valuable tools to overcome the pressures surrounding this busy time.

"While so many people - business owners, managers, employees, parents and others - find themselves right in the middle of the busiest shopping season, they also find themselves under the greatest stress of the year," Russ Seagle, director of the Center, said. "We've engaged therapist and consultant Susan Hickerson to lead this seminar and show participants how to replace stress with humor and relaxation."

According to Seagle, those who attend will learn stress-busting techniques that will be helpful long after the holidays are over.

"This seminar will help you deal with the stress and keep your blood pressure low. Not only will the pressures of the season be easier to deal with, your family and coworkers might also find you're easier to deal with," Seagle said.

As an added stress-reliever, dinner is included with the seminar so participants coming after work won't be quite so rushed.

"Beat Holiday Stress" will be held at the SCC Swain Center on Highway 28-74 in Bryson City. Cost is only $5. Call 828.488.6413 to preregister (required).
