student designs Labor Day logo
Southwestern
Community College advertising and graphic design student
Wren Haney displays his winning logo for the Town of
Canton’s 100th Labor Day Celebration. The logo
features a wagon wheel, the river, a mill and hard hat
and proudly states  “Canton,
NC - A Town That Works.” Incorporating input from
a volunteer committee of community leaders planning
the events, Haney submitted the logo chosen by the community
to carry the banner of this unprecedented 100th Labor
Day celebration. With assistance from program instructors
Bob Clark and Bob Keeling, Haney's work with the Town
of Canton continues a long tradition of Southwestern
Community College students assisting local communities
with projects and service.
