Spanish
for kids class
Parents
and their children can learn Spanish together through
two short courses at Fairview Elementary School sponsored
by Southwestern
Community College, July 5 through 14.

The
first class is designed for children ages seven through
nine and their parents. It meets from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
The second is for children ages 10 through 13 and their
parents. This class meets from 1 to 5 p.m. Both are
set Monday through Friday and cost $70 per person plus
materials.
"Participants will have a fun time learning Spanish
together," said instructor Ydo Yumart. "They'll
learn beginning communication phrases in Spanish and
will experience and gain awareness of the Hispanic Culture."
Yumart worked for 15 years as a high school teacher
in Cuba. She holds degrees from Prazy Institute in Miami,
Trinity College of Natural Health in Warsaw, Indiana,
and the University of Havana in Cuba.
