Naturalist
George Ellison will present workshop Dec
2
Naturalist, author, historian,
and lecturer George Ellison will conduct
a workshop on "The Natural History
of the Blue Ridge Mountains" at Nantahala
School on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m.
to 12 noon.
One of the most highly regarded naturalists
in Western North Carolina, Ellison is
also well known for his columns in area
newspapers and for the field trips he
has led for SCC, the Cullowhee Native
Plant Conference and the NC Arboretum.
"This workshop offers participants
a rare opportunity to learn about the
natural history of the region from a renowned
naturalist in the field," said Stacy
France, SCC director of Extension Education:
Personal Enrichment. "We are honored
to have George back with us for this workshop."
