Physical Therapist Assistant
    Drawing Conculsions

motor development of youngsters studied by PTA students at SCC
Young Andy Ledford, just 22 months old, attended Southwestern Community College recently. Andy, son of Chris and Amanda Ledford of Bryson City, attended SCC's Physical Therapist Assistant's pediatrics class to demonstrate his artistic skills to student Anna Wheeler and others in her class studying motor development of youngsters ages six months to four-and-a-half years. "Working side-by-side with children of varying ages helps us to understand their skill development and how physical therapy treatment can make a difference throughout a person's life span," said Wheeler. New students interested in the physical therapist assistant program or other SCC programs are invited to attend orientation for new students on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 3-5 p.m. in the Balsam Building on the Jackson campus. Reserve your seat by visiting the SCC website www.southwesterncc.edu, click on becoming a student or call 586-4091, ext. 352. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 8.
