Salt-firing
techniques demonstrated
Chris Gray of Allen, Texas,
will demonstrate salt-firing techniques
and throwing techniques that enhance the
salt-fired ceramic piece in a workshop
at Southwestern Community College's Swain
Center on Nov. 1. He will be assisted
by Joe Frank McKee of Tree House Pottery.
The workshop is conducted in conjunction
with the college's Heritage Arts program
at the Swain Center facility and will
be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Call 828.488.6413
for additional information. Gray will
also show and sell his work at the Dillsboro
Pottery Festival on Saturday, Nov. 4.
