SCC Car Show set for Saturday, April 28

"Let's get this baby ready for the show," Southwestern Community College automotive technology instructor Pete Wolosin, left, tells student Justin Mitchell, as they work on Wolosin's 1952 Chevrolet pick-up. Joining forces, SCC automotive technology and culinary technology students are sponsoring a car and bike show Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Jackson Campus. Admission is free to the public. To register a vehicle will cost $15 before the event and $20 the day of the event. To register, call 586-4091, ext. 256. The show will include a swap meet, trophies, prizes and music. Money raised will help the culinary students attend the National Culinary Arts Convention in Chicago next month.
