The 2007 graduates of
Southwestern Community
College nursing program
received their pins during
the Region A Nursing Consortium
pinning ceremony held
recently at Tri-County
Community College. Special
awards were also presented
with Celia Doyle honored
as Outstanding Nursing
Student by the faculty.
During the evening ceremony
each of the students lit
a ceramic lantern then
together they recited
the Florence Nightingale
pledge, honoring this
pioneer of modern nursing
and signifying their passage
into the duty of nursing.
In addition to SCC and
Tri- County, Haywood Community
College is also a member
of the consortium. From
