"Yes, there is money available
for college,” Virginia
Hylton, right, of Southwestern

aid office assists students
during a Scholarship Fair Wednesday,
March 28, at the college. On
the average, SCC awards $35,000
to $40,000 in scholarships per

percent of SCC students receive
some form of financial aid.
Hylton encouraged prospective
students such as, from left,
Casey Cogdill of Cullowhee and
Erin Kirkland of Cherokee to
apply now since early registration
