partners with Jackson County Sheriff's
Department
Jackson County Sheriff Jimmy
Ashe, seated right, signs an
agreement with Southwestern
Community College to provide
Campus Resource Officers. This
agreement, similar to the arrangement
with the Jackson County Public
Schools, means sworn law enforcement
officers will be assigned to
patrol and protect the community
college campus. The coverage
will include the Jackson Campus
and the Cashiers Center. Participating
in the signing are Janet Burnette,
SCC vice president for administrative
services (seated left), Chuck
Reece, SCC director of human
resources and facility development
(standing left), and Capt. Steve
Lillard of the Sheriff’s
Department (standing right).
