Training Event Ever

Under the careful tutelage
of Miss Meriweather Manners,
aka Elizabeth
Haynes, Benito San Gil received
personalized instruction in
the art of napkin folding during
an evening of dining etiquette
at Southwestern Community College
April 9. As part of Student
Support Services' Job Ready
Training students learned
fundamentals of conducting a
business meeting while dining.
Haynes, SCC's Office Systems
Technology instructor, focused
on everything from the beginning
introductions and handshake
to using the proper utensils
in communicating with the server.
Originally from the Philippines,
San Gil, a Cullowhee resident
who plans to receive his medical
sonography degree in May
from SCC, found it to be "the
tastiest training event ever!"
