Relaxing on a comfy couch,
surrounded by a picturesque
view outside, Southwestern
Community College student
Jim Kohn enjoys the quiet
atmosphere of the campus
library as he works on a
class assignment. While
the library has desktop
workstations, laptops have
recently been added for
student and community use.
The eight new laptop computers
have wireless connection
to the SCC network and Internet
and are equipped with Microsoft
Office software. Students
and the public can use the
laptop computers anywhere
within the library building.
“Bring your USB key/jump
drive to save your documents,”
advises Webster resident
Kohn, who expects to graduate
in May with a degree in
paralegal technology. Users
will need to present a driver's
license or student ID.
