Sylva attorney Paul Holt was
recently reappointed to serve
a four-year term on the Southwestern
Community College Board of
Trustees.
Holt is a founding member
of SCC's board and currently
serves as chairman of the
Board of Trustees' finance
committee. Holt was reappointed
by the Jackson County Board
of Education.
"I was extremely pleased
to learn that Paul was reappointed
to the Board," said
Conrad Burrell, chairman
of the SCC Board of Trustees.
"His leadership and
dedication to Southwestern,
along with his many years
of legal experience, have
proven a valuable asset
to the college."
Cecil Groves, president
of SCC reiterated Burrell's
sentiment. "I was delighted
to hear Paul was reappointed
to the board. He is a dedicated
public servant whose wealth
of information and experience
has been invaluable to the
college as we work to provide
an affordable quality education
to the people in Jackson,
Macon and Swain counties
and the Qualla Boundary."
Southwestern Community
College is governed by a
local Board of Trustees.
