Community College Practical
Nurse Class of 2008 received
their pins during a 5:30
p.m. ceremony Wednesday,
July 30, on the Jackson
Campus. Along with the pinning,
the ceremony included a
special video and the lighting
of the Florence Nightingale
lamps. From left are Linda

Cathy Sutton of Dillsboro,
Angela Mercier of Franklin,
Sherry Loftis of Bryson
City, Lori Gibson of Franklin,
Katelyn Speed of Otto, Angela
Stanley of Sylva and Joanne
Flatt of Sapphire. The eight
students graduated not only
with their diploma in Practical
Nursing, but also a General
Occupational Technology
Associate in Applied Science
degree. “This is quite
an accomplishment,”
agreed their instructors
Dianne English, Ellen Heim,
Barbara Connell and program
coordinator Delia Frederick.
