she is putting it to good
use in the classes she is
now taking at Western Carolina
University. A new series
of career seminars began
with Dress for Success on
Sept. 22. Other seminar
topics include resume preparation,
interviewing skills, etiquette
(business and dining) and
job search tools and techniques,
said Patty Kirkley, top
left, SCC’s career
planning and placement coordinator.
The next seminar, Business
Etiquette, will be held
Oct. 21, from 1-2 p.m. in
the Bradford Building on
the Jackson Campus. “We
have great prizes for each
seminar. We’ll also
have another grand prize
drawing at the conclusion
of this set of seminars
when another lucky student
will win a laptop donated
by Drake,” said Sonja
Haynes, top right, SCC foundation
director.
