Michael Stephens, a 20-year-old
employee in the environmental
services department, was
selected as Haywood Regional
Medical Center Employee
of the Month for April.
Stephens joined the Haywood
Regional staff 10 months
ago. Since then, he has
been a nominee for three
consecutive months. A native
of Birmingham, Ala., Stephens
currently resides in Sylva.
He and his mother moved
to Western North Carolina
nine years ago. He is attending
Southwestern Community
College, studying
business and advertising.
Stephens said he was excited
to learn he had been chosen
Employee of the Month, an
honor that includes a monetary
award, a special parking
place at the hospital, and
a photo in the Employee
of the Month case.
