360 new students attended orientation |
Southwestern Community College’s
Jackson Campus filled with
cars and people Thursday,
Aug. 13, as 360 new students
attended orientation. Students
received an overview of the
college, attended sessions
that covered topics pertinent
to their needs and resources,
got a breakdown of various
programs of study from each
academic division and meet
with academic advising staff
to register for fall classes.
Each student received an It’s
Easy Being Green at SCC recycling
bag designed by advertising
and graphic design student
Kim Aiken of Cashiers before
dividing into individual groups
to tour the campus. Registration
continues Friday with classes
starting Monday, Aug. 17.
