Graduate Realizes Ivy League Dreams -
After graduating from Southwestern Community College with associate
degrees in accounting and business administration, maintaining
a perfect 4.0 GPA and then going on to pursue a degree from Cornell
University as a single parent of two children, Alexis Bell
has one message for anyone who feels intimidated about returning
to school, "If you believe in yourself don't let fear stop
you. Feel it, acknowledge it and move through it." Bell's
sentiment is a testament to her own experiences in life and as
a student.

Hosts Pinning Ceremony for Radiography Graduates - Fourteen
Southwestern Community College radiography students recently received
their school pins at the annual pinning ceremony. Each of the
candidates was also awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree
in Radiography at the commencement ceremony last Friday evening.

Physical Therapy Assistant Program Holds Pinning Ceremony - Eight
Southwestern Community College physical therapy assistant students
recently received their school pins at the annual pinning ceremony.
Each of the candidates was also awarded an Associate of Applied

ceremony last Friday, May 9.

275 Graduate from SCC Last Friday - Being a parent of two
teenagers and working three jobs was not enough of an excuse for
Michelle Frizzell. While some gave her absolute encouragement,
others told her it was simply too much to take on. But, Frizzell
believed in herself enough to go after it and last Friday night,
her dream came true.

Joan Lee was a little girl, she knew exactly what she wanted to
be when she grew up-- a fashion designer. As a child, she would
