Creating Success with Ken Rhoades

Ken Rhoades of Franklin, a 2011 Health Information Technology graduate, said Southwestern “didn’t just prepare me for a 40-hour job. They prepared me to be successful in my career.”

At Southwestern, Ken said he learned “how to be a professional, what workforce quality and ethics mean, how to care about the people you work with and how to take my life to the next level.”

The focus at Southwestern is on much more than textbook learning, according to Ken, who said, “Our hand-on clinicals prepared me for the real world.”

Right after graduation Ken was hired at Thomasville Medical Center as supervisor of the health information technology department.
