Emergency Medical Science program holds pinning ceremony

Four graduates of Southwestern Community College’s Emergency Medical Science program were honored during a pinning ceremony held on May 10 at the Jackson Campus. Four graduates of Southwestern Community College’s Emergency Medical Science program (EMS) were honored during a pinning ceremony held on May 10 at the Jackson Campus.

Students honored during the ceremony included Larissa Martinez of Cherokee; Cristian Mireles, Cashiers; Rebecca Prichard, Cullowhee; and Megan Trantham, Clyde.

All graduates are now eligible to take state and/or national certification examinations.

Employment opportunities include providers of emergency medical services, fire departments, rescue agencies, hospital specialty areas, industry, educational and government agencies.
