Fourteen graduates of Southwestern Community College’s occupational therapy assistant program were honored during a May 12 pinning ceremony at the Jackson Campus.

Students honored during the ceremony include: Lori Beaver, of Murphy; Robin Bradley, Waynesville; Savannah Cable, Robbinsville; Melinda Clark, Dana; Jennifer Cunningham, Franklin; Alecia Gerra, Franklin; Christine Golkowski, Leicester; Krystan Inman, Waynesville; Justin Kinsland, Franklin; Kalyn Martin, Hayesville; Sydney Moody, Robbinsville; Cheyenne Orr, Robbinsville; David Sherwood, Franklin; and Deborah Smith, Sylva.

All graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination for practice as a certified occupational therapy assistant.

Employment opportunities include hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term/extended care facilities, sheltered workshops, schools, home health programs and community programs.
