SCC employees honored for state service

Southwestern Community College employees were recognized for their years of service to the state of North Carolina during the college’s Welcome Back festivities on Aug. 9 at the Jackson Campus in Sylva. Honored for five years of service are, from left: Crystal Snover, College and Career Readiness Coordinator; Kristyn Stevens, Nursing Instructor; Anna Walls, Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Coordinator; David Jons, Spanish Instructor; Sherry Fox, Library Assistant; and Nick Connor, Systems Administrator. Not pictured are Hunter Braswell, Automotive Systems Technology Instructor; and Cheyenne Shuler, Cleaning Technician.

SCC employees honored for 20 years of service to the state of North Carolina included, from left: Dr. Diane Page, Physical Therapist Assistant Program Coordinator; Michael Deaver, Computer Engineering Technology Program Coordinator & Electronics Engineering Technology Instructor; Devonne Jimison, Coordinator of High School Equivalency Testing/Literacy Instructor; Todd Moses, HVAC Mechanic; and Melissa Allison-Brooks, Medical Assisting Program Coordinator.

 

Melissa Medlin, who serves as Workforce Continuing Education Registrar at Southwestern Community College, was honored for 25 years of service to the state of North Carolina during SCC’s Welcome Back festivities on Aug. 9 at the college’s Jackson Campus in Sylva. Not pictured is Curtis Dowdle, Dean of Public Safety Training.
