SCC graduates largest nursing class to date

Thirty-seven graduates of Southwestern Community College’s Nursing program were honored during a May 9 pinning ceremony at a pinning ceremony on Jackson Campus.

Graduated from the program are: Kirsey Apel, Kimberly Bailey, Adam Barker, Marcia Brooks, Emily Cabe, Heather Cannon, Kayla Creason, Emily Cromer, Debra Cumbie, Paul Curtice, Hannah Ellington, Erika Garcia, Savannah Kelly Gass, Caitlin Holden Gilbert, Makinley Greene, Jessica Hall, Hanna Harris, Gavin Hopkins, Felicia Johnson, Brandi Lambert, Bethany Lewis, Leslie Lowdermilk, Kimberly Machuca, David Mathis, Allison Moore, Amy Moore, Chelsie Raby, Gabrielle Robinson, Dylan Ronayne, Amanda Stafford, Tiffany Stowe, Brian Strong, Tate Sutton, Stephanie Tice, Bobbie Watts, Kayla Wike and Kaitlyn Wolak.

"We are so proud to be graduating 37 people from the nursing program this year,” said Mitch Fischer, dean of health sciences. “We feel confident that all of them are prepared to be licensed and take on this exciting field.”

All graduates are now eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Their employment opportunities are vast within the global healthcare system.
