Sonography graduates honored at pinning ceremony

Six graduates of Southwestern Community College’s medical sonography program were recently honored with a pinning ceremony at the Jackson County Department on Aging. Pictured here are, front row, from left: Julie Harrold of Cashiers; Kathie Blaylock, Clyde; Kera Carson of Dillard, Ga.; and Hazel Wooten, Franklin. Back row: Chaydn Hopper, Rutherfordton; and Tiffany Shelton, Hayesville. All six completed two years of coursework and clinicals, earned their associate’s degrees and are eligible to take national certification exams.
