Daniel Russell, a student in our Associate in Arts program, has been honored as "Student of the Week" for the week of Nov. 10.
The award honors students for their perseverance, and honorees are selected by SCC's Student Recognition Retention Action Team.
Daniel is aiming to graduate in the spring semester of 2016.
Here's a brief Q&A with him:
Q) What motivates you to continue and excel at SCC in spite of circumstances you may face?
A) Looking towards a brighter future in a career that would best suit my talents. My family, and my future goals of marriage.
Q) What advice would you give to future students who might face similar situations?
A) Don't give up on goals because of difficulties around you, always press on forward. Find ways to push yourself and use your current situation as a means of growing so you can thrive in it.
