Student of the Week: Heather Mull

2018-12-13

Our student of the week is... Heather Mull!

Heather is in the Physical Therapy program and is set to graduate May 2019.

"My father is one of my biggest role models. He is retiring this week from the job he began more than half a lifetime ago after he received an Associate’s Degree from community college. The sheer number of people who attended his retirement party as well as the comments and stories shared about him are a testament to the impact he made during his career. He took a job in a field that interested him and turned it into a lifetime passion. He poured his heart and soul into his work and is walking away 40 years later with an incredible sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. I am extremely grateful for the example he set and will forever strive to demonstrate that kind of passion and dedication as a physical therapist assistant."

"My instructors motivate me every day by demonstrating their passion for physical therapy and encouraging me to jump in and try new things and be willing to make mistakes as part of the learning process, no matter how scary it is. My children Zach (16) and Maggie (12) motivate me to be the best student I can be. They set the bar high with their academic and athletic achievements, and I hope to make them as proud of me as I am of them, as well as be an inspiration to them."

"I would tell someone who is facing a tough challenge not to be afraid to seek help and to ask as many questions as they can until they find the answers they are looking for."

Congratulations, Heather!
