2018-19 FAFSA The 2018-19 FAFSA became available on Oct. 1, 2017. If you will be in college for Fall 2018, please be sure you have filed your FAFSA. SCC's Priority FAFSA Filing deadline was May 1.  The 2018-19 FAFSA is based off student's and parent's 2016 income. Work-Study Applicants Needed Ever thought about being a work-study?  The Work-Study program is looking to fill positions at the Jackson campus for the Fall.  Students must file a FAFSA and demonstrate financial need.  Click here to complete the online Work-Study Application for 2018-2019 positions.
Fall Bookstore Charges Students can begin charging their books to financial aid on August 6, 2018.  Please check your Self-Service and make sure you have aid available before going to the bookstore.  The last day to charge books is August 31. 
Fall Tuition Due For students who registered for the Fall 2018 term prior to June 29, tuition is due by July 31 at 5 p.m.  Students registered after June 29, tuition is due by August 14 at 5 p.m.  Please check your Self-Service portal to see if financial aid will cover your balance.
Inceptia You’re not alone when it comes to student loans. Southwestern Community College has partnered with Inceptia, a division of National Student Loan Program (NSLP), to provide you with FREE assistance on your Federal student loan obligations to ensure successful, and comfortable, loan repayment. Inceptia’s friendly customer representatives may reach out to you if your loan(s) become delinquent. Inceptia is not a collection agency. We’ve partnered with them to help you explore a wide variety of possibilities such as alternative repayment plans, deferment, consolidation, discharge, forgiveness, and forbearance options. Inceptia will stay in touch with you via phone calls, letters and/or emails to help you find answers to your questions and solutions to your issues.
