Library/ID Cards

the library card at each checkout; therefore,
it is important to carry this card with
you, both for identification and for library
research transactions.
Finding Research Sources
To search for books, use the WebCat Library
Catalog, available anywhere, any time on
www.southwesterncc.edu/library
WebCat shows our book and audiovisual collections.
Articles and other research sources are
available through NCLIVE, also linked on
the library home page. Contact a librarian
for help or to request a password.
Number of Checkouts
SCC students are allowed to check out 8
books and/or magazines at a time. Any resident
of our service area may use the Library
and are allowed to check out 4 items at
a time.
Overdue Fines
We charge ten cents per item, per day.
Renewals
Books are checked out for 2 weeks and may
be renewed for another 2 weeks. Magazines
circulate for 7 days. Staff can show you
how to renew your own materials online from
home, so you can avoid overdue fines.
Photocopies
A self-service copy machine with a changer
is located along the back wall of the Library.
Copies cost 10 cents per page. The changer
will accept small bills as well as quarters,
