Dr. Gene C. Couch, Jr.

Vice President for Instruction and Student Services

The Vice President for Instruction and Student Services is the Chief Academic Officer of the College and reports to the President of the College and serves as a member of the Executive Council. Provides the leadership and administrative management for the development, implementation and on-going operations of all academic (credit) programs.

Curriculum programs are a collection of academic credit courses that lead to either an associate's degree (64-76 semester hours), diploma (36-48 semester hours), or certificate (12-18 semester hours). Typically, a course lasts 16 weeks and is a combination of lecture, lab, and/or field experience. SCC offers more than 40 curriculum programs and has approximately 50 full-time faculty.
